My best friend and I recently took a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia and while perusing the gorgeous streets of Gastown, we stumbled upon Chill Winston.  We decided to sit down for some dinner and drinks, and we were both very happy that we did.

As an avid craft beer connoisseur, I asked our friendly waiter from Lithuania what Belgian-type brew he recommended and he suggested the Driftwood Brewing White Bark Witbier, brewed in Victoria, BC.  If it’s possible to fall in love with a beer immediately, that is what happened to me.  The beer was smooth, had essence of orange and even the bottle made me smile.  I will definitely seek this out again!

Janine and I had to order Poutine of course, Chill Winston’s is made with Jack Daniel’s gravy.  This comfort food lived up to it’s name.

We also both ordered the CW Salad, made with Earthwise Farm greens, vanilla poached pine- apple, charred onions, and goat cheese mousse.  We split the Bison Burger, made with tomato jam, sticky onions, zucchini relish on a brioche bun. We both left very happy and satisfied with our restaurant choice.  The atmosphere, wait staff and food were all superb.  I highly recommend checking out Chill Winston next time you are in Vancouver.

  1. So must say that the dining atmosphere was relaxed. There was no rush in Chill Winstons. Staff was happy to let us sit and chat for as long as we wanted.
