The chic salon offers hair, makeup and lash services at their two locations (downtown and University Village), helping their clients look and feel their absolute best.
When and who founded Swink Style Bar?
The idea of a Seattle Blow-dry bar was the brain child of Co-Owner Natalie Angelillo. Natalie enlisted the help of best friend and Co-Owner, Jacquie Byrne, in the fall of 2008. In November 2009, the first Swink Style Bar in opened for business in downtown Seattle.
Describe all the services Swink Style Bar provides to clients?
Swink is NOT a traditional salon. No cuts, no color! Swink provides amazing blowouts (includes shampoo and condition), dry styles for those who want amazing curls, waves or smooth, sleek straight hair without the wash and updos. To complement fabulous hair, Swink also offers full makeup application services. Swink also offers lash extensions and facial waxing. Swink Style Bar is also a great place to take care of all your bridal beauty needs with wedding day hair and makeup for the bride and bridal party.
What sets you apart from other similar businesses?
Our primary mission is to provide an amazing customer service that include a fabulous service as well as mind blowing customer service. We never want to miss the mark on either.
What business achievements are you most proud of?
We are proud to offer high quality, expert services at a price that won’t break the bank. We love pampering our clients as often as they will let us. Some clients visit 1-2 times a week. Seeing a client 4 or more times a month is an honor and privilege and we love the relationships we build in the process.
Which non-profits and/or charities do you support?
We are a huge supporter of Seattle’s Children Hospital. We created the Swink Sparkle Squad and make visits to Children’s Hospital whenever we are invited. Our company and staff is honored and humbled to share our sparkle and bring a smile to patience and their families. We are also proud of our partnership with local company Thrive Causemetics. Swink is the only local retailer to carry this amazing product line that was created by the very smart and talented Karissa Bodnar. Thrive products are paraben, sulfate, late and petrochemical free yet perform better than most high quality popular makeup lines. Thrive also donates one product to a woman in cancer treatment for every product sold (one products sold, one product donated).
Do you participate in any fundraising events for non-profits or charities?
Donating and giving back is a major component of our company mission. Over the years Swink has been honored to provided hair and makeup for the models in fundraising fashion shows such as Fashion First. On a monthly basis Swink donates many blowouts and service to schools as well as organizations that are fundraising to support children and woman causes.
