Cupcake Royale is not your average sweets shop.  Yes, you can go into any one of their six locations throughout the Seattle area and pick up one or a dozen of their delicious creations (sometimes you don’t want to eat them because they look like beautiful works of art, but you just can’t pass up that sweetness!).  Did you know that Cupcake Royale supports the community so much that they should probably just change their name to Cupcakes for a Cause?  Read on.

In March, Cupcake Royale raised $4,000 for NARAL Pro-Choice America. NARAL Pro-Choice America is the leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization in Washington state, and we believe that every woman should be able to make personal decisions about the full range of reproductive health options. NARAL Pro-Choice Washington works to protect every woman’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. NARAL Pro-Choice Washington is the state affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America. Our 35,000 members are mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sisters and brothers working together to improve reproductive health care in Washington state.

“Together we can bring change, by getting off the sidelines,” said Cupcake Royale founder, Jody Hall. “We welcome ideas and encourage all to let your voice and opinion be heard. Think of your neighborhood Cupcake Royale café as a place where you can talk with your peers, friends, and co-workers. We will listen.”

For the month of April, Cupcake Royale will donate 10% (on Mondays) of cupcake proceeds and on Earth Day, 25% of cupcake proceeds to the Duwamish River Clean Up Coalition.
