Snoqualmie Casino, Seattle’s closest full-service casino, recently announced its newly revamped and refreshed culinary experience, Vista Prime Steaks & Seafood. I was invited to experience Vista at a media preview dinner and by the time the evening was over, I was blown away by the dining experience and just very content with life. If you have visitors coming to town, keep on reading to find out why you must bring them to Vista!!
Up until the media preview dinner, I had never actually been to Snoqualmie Casino. The exterior of the casino itself reminded me of a cabin in the woods, nestled among the backdrop of the stunning Cascade Mountains and Mt. Si.

I took advantage of the casino’s free valet parking and made my way inside through the gaming floor. Walking into Vista almost takes your breath away, and that is before you even sit down to look at the menu. The views are absolutely spectacular!

It was cocktail hour on the outdoor patio and I had the chance to sample some of the mixed drinks Vista offers including a Summer Sour, Strawberry Fields, Vista 75, Spicy Margarita and La Marca Prosecco.
After cocktail hour ended, we were all ushered into the dining area to begin our culinary experience. I have to throw in here how incredibly attentive and friendly the wait staff was, including out maître d’ Kwan Won. Mr. Won is a veteran of the restaurant and hospitality industry and known across the country for his sensational table-side service and flambé skills, entertaining guests and patrons with a unique and unforgettable dining experience. They made us all laugh, answered all of our questions and added to the overall positive experience.
The first course included Field Green Salad with hazelnuts and champagne vinaigrette, paired with Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Champagne.
The second course include Tableside Shrimp Scampi with white wine butter sauce, paired with Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc.
For the main course we could choose between seared King Salmon with bamboo rice pilaf, asparagus, and pepper coulis paired with Ch. Ste. Michelle Cold Creek Chardonnay or SRF Gold Manhattan Cut New York with garlic roasted fingerling potatoes, creamed horseradish paired with Betz Pere du Famille Cabernet Sauvignon. I chose the steak.
The dessert courses were nothing short of HOT! The first choice was Bananas Foster with brown sugar, rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon and vanilla ice cream paired with Chateau Haut-Mayne Sauternes. The second choice was dark, milk and white chocolate with smoked bittersweet Pot de crème, cognac, 41% Alunga milk chocolate, crème fraiche ice cream, caramelized white chocolate Pavé, walnut crisp, bruleed strawberry, 72% Arriba dark chocolate & hazelnut Napoleon, cocoa puff, caramel, flourless chocolate torte, rosemary crème anglaise, milk crumble paired with a Taylor Fladgate 30 year tawny port. My friend and I tried both so we could share!
Mr. Won’s skills and experience with all things flambé came to full realization with the evening’s finale – the Cafè Diablo. Made with french press coffee, vanilla chantilly, Courvoisier and Grand Marnier, you have to experience Mr. Won’s skills in order to fully appreciate this drink. He jokingly commented how he has made Cafè Diablo 5,000 times, and you actually believe him watching him master the poured fire.

The entire dining experience at Vista was just extraordinary. The food was amazing, the wine pairings were perfect, the service was impeccable, and it was entertaining.
I’ve never really been into gambling or going to casinos before, but now I have I highly recommend heading to Snoqualmie Casino to dine at Vista Prime Steaks & Seafood!
