Sun’s out, beer’s out!

Saturday, July 1, 2017 could not have been a more perfect Seattle day for The Vera Project Elysian Brewing’s Search Party! The gates opened at 2 p.m. and the crowds rolled in!

The sun shined upon Seattle Center as the beers were poured from 13 different beer stations from multiple breweries throughout the Pacific Northwest. With beer came some amazing food from Snout and Co., Hallava Falafel, The Grilled Cheese Experience (I had the Deluxe and it was heaaaven!!), Bluebird Ice Cream (did you try the Elysian Beer Float? I did and I must have it again!), Candy Butcher Hot Dogs, My Sweet Lil’ Cakes, and Mini The Dough-Nut. Vendors 107.7 The End, Fred Hutch’s Obliteride, and Pierced Hearts Tattoo Parlor rounded out the picture perfect day.

Music and artistry filled the air with EnJoy Productions, Chaotic Noise Marching Corps and KEXP‘s DJ Riz Rollins and Stevie Zoom while Thunderpussy, Black Pistol Fire, The Sonics, and The Struts all took the stage to the delight of fans.

All proceeds from the Search Party went to The Vera Project. The Vera Project fuels personal and community transformation through collaborative, youth-driven engagement in music and art. By engaging participants at all levels of music production and community organizing, Vera fulfills its mission to foster a participatory creative culture through popular music concerts, arts programs, experiential learning and volunteer opportunities for all ages, especially young people. Vera’s programs are always all ages, with a focus on young people ages 14 to 24.
