Earlier this summer, Glass Vodka® founder, Ian MacNeil, showcased his award-winning vodka at the world-renowned James Beard House in New York City, New York.  Glass Vodka, based in Seattle, was invited by dinner host Janice Provost, executive chef of Parigi Restaurant in Dallas, to pair a signature cocktail with her French-inspired dinner. Provost’s dinner sold out, a record for the James Beard House.

The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. The Foundation also maintains the historic James Beard House in New York City’s Greenwich Village as a “performance space” for visiting chefs.

Popular chef and restaurateur, Chef Provost owns and operates Parigi Restaurant in Dallas, which is modeled after the bistros of Paris with a New York feel. Chef Provost served her “American in Paris” dinner paired with the specialty cocktails created with Glass Vodka, La Femme Américaine. La Femme Américaine consists of Glass Vodka, Lillet Blanc and St-Germain liqueur finished with lemon juice and a lemon twist.

Chef Provost was attracted to Glass Vodka’s distinctive locally sourced spirits. Unlike most vodkas that use potatoes or grains, Glass Vodka uses wine grapes from Washington State sourced from the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery. She serves Glass Vodka in Parigi Restaurant and was intrigued to try a French dinner pairing with the grape-based vodka.

“A magnificent evening of inspiring cocktails, food and wine with our dear friend James Beard award- winning chef Janice Provost of the Famed Parigi Restaurant in Dallas,” said Glass Vodka Founder and CEO, Ian MacNeil. “Our first experience at the James Beard House in New York City could not have been more pleasant with the glorious weather and the gorgeous cocktails served on the terrace. We were elated to be part of this gathering of food and wine connoisseurs.”
