Last month, Sweethawk Wines officially made its Seattle debut!

Former Seattle Seahawks player, Randall Morris, made a special appearance for a meet & greet/autograph signing at the debut party, and prizes such as autographed footballs and painted stemware were raffled off to support the local charity, Connecting Borders Foundation.

Connecting Borders Foundation was established in 2010 when it became licensed as a 501(c)3 as a non-profit humanitarian organization that works to help children and people living in poverty through hands on monetary giving, scholarships and internship opportunities. The goal is to help each individual obtain their full potential with personal and community support and training. The Connecting Borders Education Program helps to provide funding, computer equipment and curriculum to assist with the education of young people. They are also focused on sustainable farming and provide funding, volunteers and equipment to put these techniques into practice.

Sweethawk Wines owner, Laurie Cassille, has been hand-painting stemware since 2002. After the Seahawks won the Super Bowl in 2014, she started hand-painting and personalizing “Sweethawks” on wine glasses, champagne flutes, ornaments and more. After being sold in an array of local stores and boutiques, she decided to take those empty glasses and fill them with her favorite wines! As we all know, there are many out there (especially in the Pacific Northwest) that make wine, so Laurie decided she wanted to create a more novelty yet high-end quality wine. Thus “Sweethawk Wines…..Gals With Game!” was born!

Currently Sweethawks carries a Red Blend that is sold at Redmond Ridge Liquor and a Champagne that is available through scheduling a private tasting. Check them out and start a Sweethawk Rally with your friends and watch the games together with a glass of Sweethawk!
