Canvas Event Space in Seattle recently hosted Chance Fashion’s 8th Annual Artist of the Year Awards. What’s Up NW was proud to be a media sponsor of the evening’s event, showcasing the local Seattle fashion industry.

Chance is a non-profit dedicated to providing resources and opportunities to fashion artists of all levels. With nearly eight years of monthly fashion shows, this event has showcased a broad variety of talent from nearly every genre of fashion. Chance has also produced events outside Portland, San Francisco, and Hawaii, and has brought in designers to showcase from Texas and Florida. Chance is supported by Fashion District NW, Tatoosh Distillery & Spirits, Alphabet Vodka, Tiffany Talent Agency and What’s Up NW.

Russ Garwood and Dr. Juliet Dang hosted the evening showcasing Seattle’s local glamour while DJ Martini and MeltonWax seamlessly spinned the red carpet runway tunes. I must say, I caught some of their dancing skills throughout the evening, and they have impeccable moves!

Awards were also handed out throughout the evening.

so fantastic that TRASH By Tony won Fashion Designer of the Year! I do not know of any other designer who has worked their tail feathers off so much in the past 3 years to get to where they are at. Seems as if this designer is ahead of the fashion curve and breaking out with new ideas all the time!!! Congratulations Tony!
