As kids, the duo of Terry Maxwell (aka “Capital-T”) and Anthony Turner (aka “B-Dub”), would recite their favorite songs by the Grammy Award winning rap group, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. After working on music together for almost 15 years, Terry and Anthony officially formed Off The Dome in 2015 along with their own independent record label, Off The Dome Records. The name was inspired by their ability to “come off the head” with freestyle rhymes while paying homage to the iconic Tacoma landmark, the Tacoma Dome. The duo are self-managed and are generously sponsored by Two Five Trees Productions. Their latest hit, “No Days Off,” featuring ‪Wrekonize, was released in August 2017 and has already reached over 30,000 views on YouTube. And all that hard work is paying off for OTD!

Today, Terry and Anthony are creating music with the very artists they idolized, Bone Thugs-Harmony! In October 2017, OTD opened for ‪Krayzie Bone at Cultura Live in Tacoma. In January 2018, ‪Krayzie Bone was in town once again to collaborate on new music with the up and coming rap duo.

OTD says this opportunity is “a dream come true,” as Krayzie Bone and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are some of their biggest inspirations, and a major factor in the formation of their group. Specifically, OTD’s signature double-time, fast paced style is influenced by Bone Thugs, and the two bonded over the shared admiration of the music.

“To be honest, we probably wouldn’t even be friends or have ever started this music [journey] together if it wasn’t for Bone Thugs-n-Harmony… we used to sit in our room and rehearse their rhymes and try to memorize all of their songs.” Capital-T and B-Dub expressed that going on tour means the world to them, and they feel they have been given the “opportunity of a lifetime.”

Their single with ‪Krayzie Bone, titled “All In,” is set to be released in the near future.

Their dreams continue to manifest as the duo was invited to perform at the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) 2018. Other SXSW 2018 entertainers include Spike Lee, Willie Nelson, Henry Winkler, Lena Dunham, Ethan Hawke, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, and so many more. You can tune into this year’s SXSW (going on now) here.

Keep your eyes and ears on OTD as they continue making their mark on the rap scene, representing the Pacific Northwest!
