Learn about the Geology of the Lake Chelan AVA at Lake Chelan Winery—March 3
This free social event is presented by Lake Chelan Winery’s on-site geologist, Jake Meyer. The event is intended to educate visitors about the Chelan Valley soil’s physical structure, the area’s history and origins, and how they relate to the unique undertaking of growing grapes. Wines will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.

LC Lions Shamrock Shuffle Fun Run—March 17
Join the Lake Chelan community in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Shamrock Shuffle Fun Run, taking place prior to the annual Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade! Funds raised will help support the Lake Chelan Lions Club’s mission of educating the local community about diabetes and spreading awareness. Registration is $15 for participants ages 10 through 18, and $25 for adults.

Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade—March 17
Calling all dogs! Dress your dogs and kids in green for a chance to bring home the “Top Dog” award at this annual parade, where you can also enjoy the King County Firefighters Pipes and Drums Performance!

Lake Chelan Taste of the Irish—March 17
What’s more Irish than beer and whiskey?  Come on down to Historic Downtown Chelan for the annual Top Dog parade. Stay a little longer and enjoy some ale and whiskey tasting as you explore the boutiques of downtown. Tickets range from $30 to $35 per person and includes six 5 oz. ale tastings at various stores in historic downtown Chelan, as well as four 1/4 oz. whiskey tastings at Campbell’s Resort.

Learn “Aroma Training” at Lake Chelan Winery—April 7
This tutorial process will show you the proper way to train your sense of smell while enjoying wines. The team at Lake Chelan Winery will give visitors the tools to help distinguish unpleasant aspects of wines from great ones. Event admission is $10.

29th Annual Chelan Earth Day Fair—April 21
The annual Chelan Earth Day Fair has been celebrated since 1989 and features live musical entertainment, in addition to locally sourced foods and gifts available for purchase. Enjoy educational workshops, demonstrations, electric bikes and a variety of children’s activities.

Unwind & Explore Weekend Retreat—April 27–29
Spirals is hosting a three-day retreat, where 33 “mind-body-spirit” facilitators will offer 64 different classes and personal sessions throughout the Lake Chelan community. Join this year and create your own personal retreat by pampering yourself with experiences that will help you unwind and explore! This year’s offerings include a variety of massages, sound therapy sessions, yoga classes and much more. Fees range from $15 to $150 per person, depending on the activity.

Manson Apple Blossom Festival—May 11–12
Of the many events hosted in the region, the Manson Apple Blossom Festival continues to be a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Come celebrate the beginning of another apple producing season with this annual tradition, which started in 1921. Festivities include several community art shows, a street fair, an “All-You-Can-Eat” pancake breakfast hosted by the local Kiwanis Club, the highly-anticipated Apple Blossom pageant and, of course, the classic grand parade.

Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival—May 17–20
The only thing that pairs better with wine than food is live jazz! The first event of its kind in the Lake Chelan region, the Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival is designed to showcase internationally acclaimed jazz artists and honor the wonderful wineries, historic downtown and remarkable beauty of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley.
