Margaret is inviting the community to participate in a personal campaign she created this year when she decided that she wanted to make a difference. While most of her friends have spent their landmark birthday with expensive parties, big vacations or jewelry, Margaret decided to mark the occasion of her milestone birthday with a tribute to women in her community.

Her birthday had her thinking about the 50 years she has been alive and how now is the time to make an impact. She not only had a desire to become deeply involved in helping women feel valued, but made a commitment to raising money for a local non-profit organization, Washington Women In Need (WWIN).

Founded by Julia Love Pritt, the mission of WWIN is to provide health and education grants to low-income women in Washington to help them improve their lives. Their vision is that every woman will have a clear path in which to achieve her desired potential and enrich her world.

Spencer has been contacting local businesses asking for their support as well as creating a massive high-end clothing swap, DRESSwap, that supported WWIN. Working tirelessly for months, Margaret was determined to raise awareness and deliver a check funded by the collective interest of supporters she has personally contacted.
