Permanent Makeup and Plastic Surgery.
For those living with facial trauma, those two words sound like unattainable dreams. Those services can be very expensive and may not be covered by insurance. They may also require down time away from work, which someone may not be able to afford to do. In a world where we are bombarded with images of “perfection” on television and on social media, the compounding effects of having facial trauma can be ten-fold for someone’s confidence.
This is where Dawn Hunter (DC ME PMU) and David Santos MD (Board Certified Facial Plastic /ENT) have stepped in. Dawn and Dr. Santos have collaborated together in medical cosmetics for over 10 years and decided they wanted to bring their talent and expertise to the non-profit sector.
Dawn is the founder of Seattle’s Vine Studios, and is a permanent makeup artist and trainer. Not only has she changed the faces of many clients with microblading and other permanent makeup techniques, but she has also trained hundreds at the Vine Studios Training Academy.

Dr. Santos is the founder of Facial Beauty in Bellevue, and has been providing facial plastic surgery to clients for over twenty years. He has a double-board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to the many awards he has received over the years for his work, he has changed the lives of more than 15,000 individuals and has performed some 10,000 facial surgeries.

With a sincere passion for changing the lives of others, Dawn and Dr. Santos founded the International Face Foundation (IFF).
We help restore self confidence through cosmetic transformation.
The IFF mission is to provide transformation of one’s self through the physical cosmetic restoration process and to bring clients physical appearance in better alignment with their inner self confidence.
IFF is dedicated to providing funding to pay for cosmetic-related services by serving those with facial trauma that medically qualify for permanent makeup and minor facial cosmetic surgeries. They can help individuals with facial trauma related to burns, cancer, scars, accidents, etc.

Surgeries that occur after facial trauma can sometimes leave patients with a “final” appearance that is deemed medically stable yet acts as an everyday reminder of the trauma that occurred. Sometimes, this permanent scarring can wreak havoc on the self confidence of some individuals.
This is where IFF can help! With modern developments in cosmetic minor surgeries, non surgical scar treatments, dermal fillers and permanent cosmetics – it is possible to do more to really help these patients achieve full turn around and feel more confident in their appearance!
Do You Need Help?
To qualify for IFF services, your skin and all of your surgical repairs must be completely healed. Minors must have medical and parent consent (subject to state laws).
If you feel you qualify, send your story to IFF here and they will then ask you to send a photo of yourself in natural lighting without any makeup on. Each individual case will be unique as there is not a one-size-fits-all story for those who have felt the devastating effects of facial trauma.
