This peaceful luxury cabin near Silverton, Oregon, is a delightfully converted cedar green house with a comfortable living room and a natural cedar hot tub. Upstairs features one-bedroom in a sleeping loft with a full-size bed. It has a gravel floor, and there is a water faucet inside. The full bathroom, fridge, and microwave are in the main barn, which is just a short walk across the property.

The cedar green house itself is beautifully constructed using minimal wood and lots of glass for windows so that natural sunlight can seep into the accommodation at any time of day. The back patio looks out onto green foliage, providing a serene ambiance for drinking a glass of wine, reading a book or enjoying a blazing campfire as guests relax after the exhausting, action-packed day they have just had.

Tree House Style Cabin Nestled at the Foot of Scenic, Snow-Capped Mt. Adams, Washington (9.2 stars)

This tree house has two floors. The second floor lies amid the Douglas firs. A hand-crafted, circular staircase provides access to this floor. There is also a full-size log bed that was hand-crafted from Western Red cedar, allowing glampers to snooze away in comfort.

All amenities necessary for a relaxing stay at the tree house are provided for glampers’ use. The kitchen is complete with all standard appliances including utensils, dishes, and a propane barbecue on the front deck. The year-round hot tub on the deck adjacent to the living room will increase guests’ enjoyment of this serene setting. This tree house is heated by a propane stove for glampers’ comfort during the chilly months, and firewood is included in the price of renting this tree house. Towels and linens are provided for guests at this tree house. The second sleeping accommodation is the fold-out futon/sofa in the main floor sitting room. Alternately, fold-out cots are an option.

Incredible Beachfront Glamping Cabin on Private Island near Olympia, WA (9.8 stars)

This glamping Cabin and Annex rental are located on a tiny private island near Olympia, Washington, about 90 minutes from Seattle. The beachfront property features two separate buildings that can be rented either separately or together. They can accommodate parties of one to eight guests.

The main Cabin sleeps up to four glampers in two bedrooms. The downstairs open bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the upstairs has two single beds in the open loft. There is one full bathroom with a shower, and laundry facilities are available. Electric heat and a wood burning stove to keep guests comfortable. The dining and lounge spaces are perfect for socializing indoors, and the garden and deck areas have plenty of outdoor furniture for relaxing, meals outside and enjoying the view.

Groups of six or more can add the Annex. The Annex sleeps an additional four glampers in a separate building right across the yard. There’s a queen-size bed in the upstairs master bedroom and a comfy sleeper sofa downstairs. The Annex has a fully-equipped kitchenette with an induction hotplate and a large microwave (no stove). In addition, there is a bathroom with shower and laundry facilities. The lounge has an electric fireplace with a TV and DVD.

The Annex rents for an additional $30 per person, per night (two guest minimum). The Cabin and Annex combination are an excellent option for larger groups who want to be together yet still enjoy the privacy of separate buildings. Note that the Annex cannot be rented separately, it can only be rented as an extension of the Cabin for groups of five to eight guests.

There are vacation homes on either side of the cabin; however, guests will have plenty of privacy anywhere on the property. There are only about 100 permanent residents on the island. Generally, guests will see more deer than people.

Glampers should note that there are no shops or dining options on the island, so they must bring their own food. Tap water is fine for drinking.
