On Saturday July 21, 2018, Fashion District NW presented the Couture and Cars Fashion Show at LeMay—America’s Car Museum in Tacoma.

With my favorite gal pals in tow, the whole evening was the perfect girls night out.

I loved my Laundry by Shelli Segal gown from Rent the Runway!
With my famous (infamous?) Blonde Mafia girls, Heather and Michelle.
My girl tribe and I photo-bombed by Josh Diamond!

Emceed by the lovely Dr. Juliette Dang, the event highlighted several northwest designers in a fashion showcase that provided a true glimpse of each designer’s talent and artistic expression. Attendees were treated to the visual allure of vintage and modern exotic sportscars as the models walked a runway that weaved throughout the automobiles on display.

First to showcase her designs was Dawnamatrix, a USA-based latex fashion designer specializing in bespoke handcrafted latex fashion and rubber couture. Whether you are a stylist, seasoned fashionista, fetish model, or simply looking for a few pieces of latex rubber clothing to spice-up your wardrobe Dawnamatrix hopes you will find something to delight, inspire, and intrigue you with what they present in their latex clothing shop. Perfect for statement making or self expression, each look was definitely memorable and paired well with the jewelry from ANNXANNXDESIGN. ANNXANNXDESIGN was founded in 2013 by Han-Yin Hsu in Los Angeles, and is currently based out of the greater Seattle area.  ANNXANNXDESIGN likes to think of the body as a landscape for jewelry. Their designs are focused on expressing the elegance of this landscape, and exploring the gesture of each element as it rests on the skin.

Closing out the show was Lisa Marie Couture, paired with stunning jewelry of Namiko Abloom. Lisa Marie is a fashion designer specializing in evening and bridal couture. Her signature style is an embodiment of her belief that fashion is a transformative art, and a deeply personal experience. Namiko of Namiko was born in Aomori, Japan. She studied fashion design and worked as a lace designer for many years in Tokyo. After moving to Seattle in 2001, she began pursuing her passion for jewelry design. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and it’s strong resemblance to Japan, Namiko found her art’s expression through intricate, handmade jewelry pieces.
