On Friday, July 27, 2018, my friend Mishana and I headed over to Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center for Seattle magazine’s, Red, White & Brew, celebrating the 13th anniversary of the magazine’s Washington Wine Awards! It was an incredibly perfect Friday evening in Seattle with blue skies, sunshine and warm weather!

Attending the Industry Pre-Party, we got a head start on sampling some of the best beer and wine that the state has to offer, including a 2016 En Hommage Syrah, Yakima Valley from Kevin White Winery, Unbiased Opinion from Red Hook Brewery, Rasberry Berliner Weisse from Stoup Brewing, Traditional Dry Cider from Westcott Bay Cider, among many others! We also noshed on salumi boards with grissini – prosciutto, coppa, mortadella grana padano from Ethan Stowell Restaurants and smoked salmon, tomato, avocado and sweet corn pudding from Shaker+Spear!

Seattle magazine’s Dining and Lifestyle Editor, Chelsea Lin, and beer writer, Kendall Jones, announced the award winners, including Winemaker of the Year, James Mantone of Syncline Cellars and Brewery of the Year, Seapine Brewing Company. A full list of the Washington Wine Awards winners can be found here. The full list for the beer awards can be found here!
