What: From what you see out a window on a road trip to the eagle-eye view from an airplane window, knowing the basics of geology can tell you about the earth and its processes that shape the landscape in front of you. On March 19, Deborah Green, this year’s Jahns Distinguished Lecturer in Applied Geology, will give you the opportunity to step into the shoes of a geologist and view the world with a new perspective. Hear how being a woman in a male-dominated field has shaped her experiences and how it has led her to be an advocate for diversity.

When: Tuesday, March 19, 7 – 9 p.m.

Where: Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery at Pacific Science Center, 200 Second Ave N Seattle, WA 98109

Price: $5, free for Members
