This week, Elysian’s “Women In Beer” group has organized a “Nancy Brew” scavenger hunt to honor some of the most impactful women from the Seattle area and to offer participants the chance to win a pint of beer brewed solely by the amazing women of Elysian.
Participants ages 21+ are invited to Elysian’s Capitol Hill pub throughout the week of March 7th – 13th, where they’ll receive a clue book to begin their journey. Each clue book includes six location puzzles and six ingredient puzzles that will lead participants all over the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Those who turn in the clue book with all 12 puzzles completed to the Elysian Capitol Hill Pub before the close of business on the 13th will be redeemed for a Nancy Brew pint glass and crowler of our Nancy Brew beer for participants over 21. No purchase necessary but supplies are limited.
Participants who complete the scavenger hunt will receive a coupon redeemable for a pint of two specially brewed beers by the women who work at Elysian (images here). The beers will also be available in crowlers at the Capitol Hill pub for purchase by those who do not participate in the scavenger. More info on both can be found below:
- Bess Caught Red Handed (5.0% ABV & 20 IBU) – A tart and punchy trop-hop-ical ale brewed with passion fruit and hibiscus. Floral Norwegian farmhouse yeast accents the natural fruitiness of El Dorado and Centennial hops for a burst of citrus and guava in this bright and bubbly refreshing brew.
- George and the Ghost of Blackwood Hall (5.7% ABV & 35 IBU) – A classic pairing of cherry, vanilla and bitter chocolate malts come together for an uncommon ale reminiscent of a crisp cherry vanilla cola. Cherry puree, vanilla beans, cascade and crystal hops, and Elysian house yeast come together in a team-up that is mysteriously crushable.
Elysian is also hosting a promotion throughout the month of March wherein the company will donate $5 to the Pink Boots Society each time someone texts “PINKBOOTS” to 78896.
