Yeehaw! What’s Up NW just got back from a girls weekend in Grapevine, Texas and I can’t wait to share with you all the fun things you should do, see, visit and try!

Book and Stay

1. Stay at Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center | https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/dfwahhf-hilton-dfw-lakes-executive-conference-center/
The Hilton DFW Lakes is conveniently located approximately four miles from DFW and offers a wide variety of amenities! With an airport shuttle that leaves on the hour, free parking, a tennis court, on-site restaurant and bar, a beautiful indoor pool, and insanely beautiful outdoor pool (with lake views!), a huge fitness center, tons of meeting space and large rooms – it’s definitely a great place to rest your head each night, grab some morning breakfast and an evening cocktail!

Our cool chick crew in the hotel lobby ready to start our weekend!
The outdoor pool at the hotel alone is worth it’s weight in gold!

2. Wine Tour with Grapevine Wine Tours | https://www.grapevinewinetours.com/
My Texas friends Antonio and Kiersten set my eight girlfriends and I up with some of the coolest wine bus drivers in all of Texas, courtesy of Grapevine Wine Tours! The bus drivers picked us up from the hotel and at designated meeting places on time each day and evening, had friendly and knowledgeable drivers, always running A/C in the summer heat and lots of water bottles to keep you hydrated between wine tastings!

Hop on the wine bus!

3. Wine Tasting at Cross Timbers Winery | https://www.crosstimberswinery.com/
Built in 1874, Cross Timbers Winery is located in the historic Brock Family farmhouse. It’s recognized as being one of the five oldest structures in Grapevine. The property is a popular location for weddings, receptions, corporate outings, family reunions and more. Visit the tasting room and definitely try the Grapevine Red – a Merlot, Mourvedre and Ruby Cab blend!

4. Wine Tasting at Delaney Vineyards | https://www.delaneyvineyards.com/
Delaney Vineyards offers a unique and elegant venue for all types of events. The 8,000 square foot Winery is reminiscent of an 18th century French chateau nestled among 10 acres of lush grapevines. The gorgeous 5,200 square foot Grand Barrel Room is a large, yet intimate space with capacity for 300 seated guests, or a cocktail buffet for 400. They also have the largest vineyard in North Texas! Definitely try out the Claret and the Three Daughters blend while visiting!

5. Wine Tasting at Hotel Vin | https://www.hotelvin.com/dining
Hotel Vin’s bar area is just one of the chicest places to enjoy a cocktail, wine or beer. This was my second time visiting and being able to bring all the ladies with me was a treat. With a specialty cocktail menu, an immense wine and beer selection and live music on Fridays and Saturdays at The Junction (an outdoor seating area next to the train), its the perfect place for people watching and chilling!

6. Beer at Hop & Sting | https://hopandsting.com/
I first fell in love with Hop & Sting during a previous visit to the Grapevine area, and I had to take my girls back! Hop & Sting not only has a huge indoor and outdoor seating area, they also host some live music, food trucks and really good beer! They also support various charities with different beer purchases – which is always a win in my book. When you visit, definitely try Frigid Underworld Imperial Espresso Stout and Miracle Wheat – Blood Orange. For their seasonals, I love me some 3113 Oktoberfest Lager, and Peel it Back Milkshake IPA!

Beer for the win!

7. BBQ and Dancing at Marty B’s | https://www.martybsplace.com/
It’s always a party at Marty B’s, located in Bartonville. The giant restaurant, bar and music venue brings you a family-friendly, modern ranch atmosphere, with delicious BBQ, great beer and cocktails, and a live band complete with a dance floor! I highly recommend starting off with the BBQ Nachos with brisket, the brisket by itself, green chili mac & cheese, pulled pork and ribs! The food is amazing, the staff treats you right and it’s the perfect place to end the week or start your weekend! Get your boots out on the dance floor!

So good!

8. Winewood Grill | https://thewinewood.com/
Come for the wine, stay for the food. Winewood Grill offers a variety of food for all taste buds and some of the nicest wait staff you’ll ever meet. The hamburger and pork ribs were the favorites amongst our girl crew. We also tried three different wines, a Chenin Blanc from McPherson, a Tempranillo from Llano and a Red Blend from Fall Creek. The Tempranillo was one of my favorites!

They fall right off the bone!

9. Texas Star Dinner Theater | https://www.texasstardinnertheater.com/
Texas Star Dinner Theater has it all. Delicious dinner and dessert, a very well-stocked bar and a hilarious and mysterious murder mystery dinner! Pay close attention to the show and test your investigation skills to solve the murder!

The chicken was delicious!
